What a special evening we had on 8 September 2022 at SIM People Development Fund’s (SIMPDF) first Study Awards ceremony!
25 out of 31 award recipients were in attendance to receive certificates presented by SIMPDF’s Chairman, Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, and three Board of Directors. In her opening remarks, Mrs Lim urged recipients who are also appointed Ambassadors of the SIMPDF Study Awards to pay it forward by inspiring hope and courage to others in similar predicament. The inaugural batch of recipients was from NTU, NUS, SIM and SUSS. Each award was valued at S$5,000/academic year and open to Singaporeans from households with a stipulated Per Capita Income. The Study Award 2022 recipients and their loved ones were invited to light refreshments right after the presentation of certificates where Mrs Lim and the SIMPDF Board of Directors chatted with them over food.
The SIMPDF Study Awards aim to provide financial assistance to needy and deserving students to encourage their pursuit for lifelong learning and empower their transition into the marketplace.
SIMPDF’s vision is to successfully bridge opportunities for Singaporeans to fully participate in the economy and our mission is to enable Singaporeans to participate in the ever-changing marketplace by realising the potential of their life skills through access to learning pathways.
